Longines Grand Prix of St. Moritz
In front of a great setting the first Longines CSI St. Moritz came to an end on late Saturday evening. In the floodlight a crowd of 3’000 enthusiastic spectators watched the highlight of the event, the Longines Grand Prix of St. Moritz. Ten riders were qualified for the jump-off over a height of 160 cm, two Swiss among them. And the jump-off was really exiting. Unfortunately the Swiss Chantal Müller with U Tabasca was not fast enough for the victory and finished as 8th. The Swiss hopes then were on Niklaus Rutschi aboard Windsor and he attacked. With his 12-year-old gelding and a clear round he took the lead. Four more riders were to come and it was the last one that really attacked the time. Laura Kraut, the American that had won the Championat the day before, was 26 hundredth seconds faster and also clear, was the final winner. This meant the 2nd place for Rutschi. Third was Kamal Abdullah Dahamden (Saudi Arabia) with Noblesse de Tesa.
